I don't know about the film, but I really liked the score. I discovered it a few months ago. I do a guessing game contest over at another score forum, maintitles.net, and I ripped as many cues (or good cues) with as little SFX as possible and let people guess. This was one of my entires. It was probably my third or fourth Post title in the game. I wanted to do it here, but couldn't get a final decision on it.
If you like this, I recommend you check out "Zachariah", by Jimmie Haskell -- the opening and closing cues may well be your thing. Unfortunately it's not on CD, but there was a very short LP and the material is as a download from Amazon.com as well but it appears the backing drumkit as heard in the film (for the oepning cue) is missing.
Thanks Justin. I remember seeing that a long time ago but didn't remember what a dick Post was with Cannell.
Hard to believe a 160 pound prick arrogant that looked like this and had that kind of attitude didn't get his ass totally kicked back then. Dang I'd hit him just for being an ugly idiot nerd.
Ha Ha. Sounds like he had a cool brother. I have a cousin in-law that tells storie and sounds just like Post in that interview. Big talk talk talk and oh what a dick. And he stands about 5' 2 and his face gets so red when he talks and gets so riled up. Almost has a heart attack getting the story out. Talk about "anger management". Well at least it looked like Post has kind of buffed up these days.
But back then, I'd like to see him move one of my towels.
He'd be eating those glasses on his head. Dang he looks just like my cousin in-law.
Thanks again for posting. Hope Post is chilled out now, cause I do like some of his music, but hate arrogance. So that asshole wrote the wonderful HILL STREET BLUES? He owes Cannell big time.
