SPECTRE---trailer released for the latest James Bond movie.

THE X-FILES---The Lone Gunmen (Dean Haglund, Tom Braidwwod and Bruce Harwood) will return for the Fox miniseries. Haglund announced, “Today they contacted us. We’re shooting July 28. The Gunmen are in the final six!”
Also, Robbie Amell (THE FLASH) and Lauren Ambrose (SIX FEET UNDER) will play FBI agents in Episode 4 of the Fox miniseries.
GOTHAM---Michael Chiklis (THE SHIELD) joins the cast as Gotham City police Captain Nathaniel Barnes, “[Barnes] lands on the GCPD like a tornado, ripping out the dead wood of Gotham’s police force. He is a law and order zealot; unafraid of making enemies – on either side of the law. For Gordon, Barnes is a hero and a mentor, someone with whom he can share the burden of heroism. Captain Barnes proves himself to be a strong ally to Gordon… but one day he will make an equally powerful enemy.”
STAR TREK BEYOND---an alien from the sequel was included in a charity video.
GAME OF THRONES---Kit Harington, still with contractually-required long hair, was photographed arriving at the Belfast airport on July 20 which added to speculation that Jon Snow will reappear in Season 6. The series is based in Ireland.
THE BRINK---HBO renewed the series for Season 2.
BRAINDEAD---new CBS sci fi comedy series underway in which a young female staffer begins her new job in Congress and discovers the government isn't working because aliens are eating the brains of Congress and its staffers.
ARROW---Jimy Akingbola will play villain Baron Reiter.
SUPERGIRL---villain Reactron will appear in Episode 3 of the new CBS series.
THE LAST KINGDOM---BBC America eight-part series based on the The Saxon Stories novels will premiere on October 10.
THE DARK SIDE---20th Century Fox sci fi movie underway based on the novel set in the future in which a detective is sent to a penal colony on the Moon to investigate an android that went on a killing spree.
6000---live-action movie underway based on the manga in which a team is sent to investigate a mysterious disaster at a deep sea laboratory three years before. Mike Medavoy (BLACK SWAN) is the producer.
MINECRAFT---Rob McElhenny (IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA) will direct the Warner Bros. movie based on the video game.
EMOJI---Sony Pictures movie underway based on instant messaging.
SCARPETTA---untitled movie underway based on the coroner character in the Patricia Cornwell novels. The movie is an original story and is not based on a specific novel. Earlier, the movie had been planned as a franchise starring Angelina Jolie.
