With the spectacular Intrada CD release of the original tracks of "The Lost Weekend",
is it known if the Miklós Rózsa "Double Indemnity" original cues could be released on a CD album?

that would be most welcome, but what about A DOUBLE LIFE,Rozsa's 2nd academy award winner.strange that in all of the welcome releases of his scores,we have nothing of this score.
yes, there is an old radio performance of a suite fom the score, but no actual release of the original score on record or cd.this is a really important score and a big gap in his history, perhaps we will get to know here if the score survives or if the only way we will get it is with a new recording.

I'm kicking myself for forgetting it was in theaters last Sunday. Did anyone go see it?

I'd love a CD release of this myself, or a rerecord. The suite on the RCA Rózsa album is nice, but it's not the whole thing. What a wonderful film.

Yes, and the digital print looked fantastic on the Big Screen.

And there was a Black and White Jerry Goldsmith Universal fanfare at the start.

It would be unusual (or impossible?) to have a Paramount and a Universal release on the same album.

Do the tracks to A DOUBLE LIFE still exist? A few people have said Universal has nothing before 1953! Still, you never know.

Phyllis: "We're both rotten."
Walter Neff: " Only you're a little more rotten."

unless one buys out the other. But you knew I was mainly joking about a double feature with Double Indemnity and Double Life. I never got around to watching the latter so I dont know they have much in common, musically.
