MV
Hi MV speaking of LLL's inventory, when will you have The Sum of All Fears Back in Stock
Nice to see Green Lantern TAS Vol 1 has nearly sold out.
I started a Frederik Wiedmann thread a few months ago enquiring if LLL were going to be releasing any more of his music, and I was disheartened when MV said they weren't big sellers.
I think LLL have provided a nice little series of Wiedmann's work, and I wish more of the newer composers would get more support than they sometimes do. There's been loads of great titles over recent years which don't seem to generate very much interest on here if they're not by some of the more recognised names.
Not sure if this has ever been discussed before but is there any life for this music after the discs have sold out? In other words, by "life" I mean Streaming Rights. Seams a shame that the only money making opportunities after a disc goes out of print is through the used market.

Simply put we are not pressing it up any more. The cd has run it's course, but the digital is still available

I think it depends on the contract for the release. If I remember, many studios retain the rights to release digital versions of scores themselves. For example, I know that many OOP intrada releases can be found on iTunes, released by the studios themselves.

Ive seen that well regarding Intrada and other labels. The studios seem to release all movie tracks our labels released. Not the 2nd disc of extras. Nice for them to live off the lablel work.
It is nice that they let the labels do these albums in the first place. You make it sound like it's wrong that studios sell content in which they own. The labels undoubtedly appreciate the limited licenses that are granted to them, and should have no issue at all with the owners selling their albums once those licenses have expired.

Its usually part of the deal
We cover the cost of transferring and mastering and then hand them over a digital copy to do with what they will
It's a win win situation for us, the studios and the fans

Night of the Creeps - 5 copies left Gunfight at the OK Corral - 10 copies left Transformers Age of Extinction - 10 copies left The Blue Max - 10 copies left
Congratulations. Of these, I have The Blue Max, and mighty glad of it too. This may be the best relay race handover ever, with the Tadlow due next. Just like Yavar said, the timing is exquisite.
The question on my mind is - will there ever be a need for the best available source tapes of The Blue Max to be resuscitated for another round of play? Does this La La Land recording signify a territorial boundary in which the further reading of the soundtrack tape masters is unlikely to yield any greater fidelity at some later date? Or is it a case of never say die?
Gunfight at the OK Corral - GONE Transformers Age of Extinction - GONE The Blue Max - GONE
Golden Age Tiomkin sold out!
2,000 copies - SOLD!
The "right" Golden Age CDs will sell out!
Well, we have a classic Golden Oldie coming in August and a HUGE project forever in the works coming in September (most likely). Let' hope they sell as well as Gunfight.
