Ad to that "Something Big". Another unreleased goodie.
The strange thing about "Something Big" and "The April Fools" is that the main title theme was composed by Burt Bacharach, please correct me if I'm wrong......I often am.

A bit off the subject, I know, but I think that Hamlisch really nailed the southern California ambience with his composition "California Nights," which was a hit for Lesley Gore.

John, that's a great song ...brings back many happy memories.
Lesley also covered another Hamlisch song "Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows"
Seems Like Old Times was always a fave. A somewhat forgotten Chevy Chase movie from 1980 that holds up really well. Charles Grodin is a genius. And Hamlisch's disco influenced score probably sounds dated but it's still great.
Good lord I just double checked his career. He won two score Oscars on the same night in 1973!? The Way We Were (dramatic score) and The Sting (song score). And oh yeah, The Sting is pretty good too. And by "pretty good" I mean that music will infect your brain.
