Earlier this summer, the score to the new Fantastic Four reboot was recorded at the Newman Scoring Stage at 20th Century Fox. Directed by Josh Trank, the film's score was written by Oscar-nominated composers Marco Beltrami and Philip Glass. While Glass was not in attendance at the recording sessions, ScoringSessions.com was, and we're thrilled to bring our readers the exclusive photos!

Enjoy!

Despite all the bad press and the obviously horrible, um, miscommunication between the studio and the director - the score is fantastic.

Highly recommended!

Just saw the film yesterday and it's not horrible. It's not very good either. I felt the score gets lost in the film because I'm listening to it right now and it's awesome!

I'm not exaggerating either.

(It's a little like Horner's Amazing Spider-Man)

You are joking, right? Glass never attends recording sessions. He's a pencil and paper guy and the creative act is writing out the score. Recording it and interpreting it is the province of other people, professional people like studio conductors, music producers, etc.. He's not an industry guy and doesn't even know that things like teams of orchestrators exist. None of this matters because it sounds like all of 30 seconds of two hours of music is Glass's. I'd be interested in seeing the cue sheets to see who is credited.

Just saw the movie. The only word I can think of to describe it is "dull"

Boring and slow. I could hear tidbits of Glass in the score, but very brief.

This is a score to be enjoyed on its own I feel.

I never quite understood all the hate for the two Tim Story FF4 films from some years back.
While they weren't anything super special, I enjoyed them as mindless popcorn comic-book fun which, after all, is what they're supposed to be.
The cast were entertaining, there was some great banter and quips between them, it looked light, bright and bouncy, had some decent set-pieces and John Ottman delivered decent scores with a catchy (Roll Out The Barrel) Main Theme.
I saw this new one last night and for the most part, found it to be a muddy mess.
Too long to get going, too quick to finish, dull, not very likeable characters and a score that, at best, reminded me of Tylers Iron Man 3.
I didn't hate it on the level of Green Lantern or Man Of Steel, it's about Thor 2 or Iron Man 2 level, which ain't good to me.
Maybe it's best it was DOA. I wouldn't want to spend any more time with this lot.
And that end scene, with the naming of themselves...I actually cringed.
