Mr Snow Sir was of course prominent in the original series....the 6-note motif he created is practically up there with Williams's 5-note motif for Close Encounters regarding recognisability...

...I have to find it a little....but only a LITTLE...strange that Snow's name hasn't been mentioned yet regarding "Season 10".

Does anyone know something I don't? I've seen no announcements, though of course that means nothing (sadly) in the world of film composers. Yet I have the nagging feeling that in the top 5 people that Chris Carter phoned when the series was confirmed, Mark Snow was probably one of them.

Anyone know?

I want Snow....

As I recall, Carter said at a convention that Snow is returning for the run.

Snow is confirmed to return per the XFNews interview with Carter, and is cited as returning in many other articles.

He's been confirmed.

Now the question is if he will stick to his mostly synth/occasional solo player instrumentation or take the more harmonic orchestral palette he utilized for I Want to Believe (or if he'll have the money to do so). I'm especially a fan of Snow when he goes all out with a full orchestra plus synth. His later season soundtracks sounded like they'd be well suited to an orchestra had he had it at his disposal/in his budget.
