What a great movie! I seem to remember a guy with an Indians head in a bag, they were starving & he was looking forward to eating it (I think he'd gone a bit bonkers). I wonder if we'll ever get a great looking HD transfer.

Yes, a pretty daring and disturbing idea. I wonder if Mendes' JARHEAD pays kind of a tribute to this movie with one of his characters doing same wacko thing...

Pity the film director couldn't make the second part, darker, bitter and much less epic, as it was originally planned.
