I just want to take a moment to post a sincere thank you to La La Land Records, FSM, Kritzerland and Intrada. Yes, they produce amazing film scores, many of which are bulging in my overstuffed cd rack. However, this gratitude is a bit more personal. There have been times when I was late to the dance and missed a release, sometimes by a year or two. There have been times when I received a treasured purchase and it arrived with a cracked case or a defective booklet. There was a time when my gift order was sent to the wrong address Finally, there was a time that I desperately sought a release for a beloved family member and could not find it or afford it. In all of these circumstances, the labels have reached out and done something to make my wish come true or make it right with my purchase. I have never been disappointed and have always been grateful and blown away by what they will do to satisfy me as a customer, give me a break as a customer or please me as a movie music buff. Gratitude is something I never want to fail to express. Schmaltzy as this may sound and I really don't care. I want to thank the folks behind these labels who have done all of these wonderful things and you know who you are. I am eternally grateful. Thank you.

I agree with the aforementioned, some more unsung heroes: Lakeshore records, Milan, Howling Wolf Records, Cinevox Records, GNP Crescendo, Hollywood Records, ... For me personally I love the releases Beat Records and Quartet keep putting out over here in Europe and in the US it's mainly Intrada, La-La and Varese whose releases I buy regularly. My appreciation for a label putting out a score that I want, translates into a purchase, it's that simple. Not always right away, but I'll get to it as I want to support any label that puts out obscure film music which a lot of these releases are. And with the floodgates now seemingly open, the last years have been amazing and continue to be. P.S. I have most of my collection organized per label, so those matching spines do matter.

Don't forget MMM (Monstrous Movie Music). So many great labels! Thanks! Probably the most sporadic of the bunch, but immensely important with unique releases! Oh! BYU and SAE! I'd like to thank BYU and SAE too. Many thanks To LaLaLand, Varese Sarabande, Silva, Krizerland, and Intrada. The late lamented FSM and Chapter III as well. Special thanks to LaLaLand,Perserverance, Silva, Kritzerland, FSM and SAE for help that they have given.

Nice to see such "an appreciation for no particular reason." Especially since these labels have to contend with a "yes, this is nice, but what have you done for me lately" kind of attitude from time to time. We, indeed, live in fortunate times where such labels exist and are peopled with such souls who care so deeply about those that patronize their output. I'm glad they get to hear it now and then.
