I haven't seen yet any obituaries in English, but a French one is linked above. Curious that no other FSM member had mentioned this before September.
Jansen was one of my favorite 3 French composers who wrote for cinema as well as abstract/concert works.
While grateful for the several compilation albums on Jansen's music for Claude Chabrol films (both on vinyl LPs and CDs), I expect there is much music from the composer's personal master tapes to appreciate and extend beyond the suites thus far released.
There should be more music available for his 1962 L'Oeil Du Malin, to cite only one title...
