They did save the best for last in that film. My favorite part is the sequence where Lithgow's character is thinking about opening the window shade as the camera POV ever-so-slowly closes in. Goldsmith's score helps to build the suspense. Joe Dante's segment is good as well.
henry, Adam B., I agree with both of you. If I could change anything about Twilight Zone: The Movie, it would be to cut John Landis' segment, "Time Out" altogether. It's terrible. And to think that three people died to get that drivel on the screen makes it a complete tragedy. I think Spielberg's "Kick The Can" is delightful, Dante's "It's A Good Life" is wonderfully wacky, and Millers' "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" is a real masterpiece.
what was the one with the kid and the cartoons with kevin mcCarthy? that was tedious. is that the one you mean? i liked the others. Kick the can was very clever. i loved that idea/concept of True age.
I thought Lithgow actually out-Shatnered Shatner. While the creature was better than the Evil Teletubby of the original TV episode, I prefer the original. For me the best parts of the movie were the opening and closing segments with Ackroyd and “Kick the Can”.
I think NIGHTMARE AT 20,000 FEET is a masterpiece. Just watched the Blu-ray again. I skip past the Landis, Spielberg and Dante segments, although the Dante segment is good too. But I just LOVE Miller's!
