Looking forward to the WESTWORLD series, even if I have no connection to the original film. It stars Norwegians. Yeah, but I'll bet the Norwegian robots were made in Japan.

After the end of "Desperate Housewives" and "Brothers and Sisters" a few years back, my Sunday evening viewing was left in the lurch. I didn't want to jump into the middle of any series I hadn't been following (like "The Good Wife"), and some of the new ones I tried (e.g., "Pan Am") didn't pan out. I liked last year's start-up "Madam Secretary," so I'm staying with it. And I gave this year's "Blood and Oil" and "Quantico" a shot last week. "Blood and Oil" seems like the better bet. I'm a Don Johnson fan. And the idea of present-day North Dakota as the new American gold rush is an interesting conceit. Also, it seems like, for the most part, the story will unfold linearly. "Quantico" will take a few more outings to prove itself. The cast seems capable. But like a number of new age shows, in episode one it has made a 9-month flash forward in time, and looks like it will spend the first season slowly filling in that gap. Call me old-fashioned, but I'm not a big fan of that method of storytelling.

I'm looking forward to SUPERGIRL myself. Likewise THE MUPPETS, BLINDSPOT and ASH vs. EVIL DEAD. Please, SBD, tell me how The Muppets did. I couldn't get my TV to work. The audio clips I heard on the radio were a little lame.
