James Mason played James Leamington in Georgy Girl. David Niven played David Merlin in Bachelor Mother. David Niven played David Slater in The Moon Is Blue. Richard Roundtree played Richard 'Dick' Shannon in Embassy. Peter Finch played Peter Linton in The Rats Of Tobruk. George C. Scott played General George S. Patton Jr. in Patton. Bob Hope was Bob Holcomb in I'll Take Sweden. Jean-Louis Trintignant played Jean-Louis Duroc in Claude Lelouch's French romantic classic Un homme et une femme. The actor known as Byron Barr, became GIG YOUNG, in real life and reel life as a character in the film, THE GAY SISTERS, 1942. The actress known as Donna Lee Hickey, became MAY WYNN, in real life and reel life as a character in the film, THE CAINE MUTINY, 1954. In "Abbott And Costello Meet The Invisible Man" Bud Abbott and Lou Costello play "Bud Alexander" and "Lou Francis". The only one I can think of is Justice Ellis McQueen Jr. who played a character named L.Q. With Bo Hopkins (76).
