Or this is the first in a second trilogy! Oh dear.

Yeah, that's what I meant.

Even though it could very well be marketed as a quartet or quintet set, I think it makes the most sense for them to wait until there were enough to do a 2nd trilogy box--if for no other reason than how no one from the first 3 appears in JW.

(Of course, having Neill or Goldblum lined up to be in any of the following movies is entirely possible--which actually would also be amazing.)

Hopefully, some of the ultra-rich who can afford to absorb the loss, shut it down, dispose of all the lysine and “take off and nuke the entire site from orbit.”

Well, Henry Wu (B.D. Wong) appears in JW -- who obviously appeared in the first film, but in this one he gets a more pronounced role. JW is also a legitimate sequel to the first three movies. But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they marketed this in multiple installments and packages.

I don't buy movies on Blu Ray very often anymore. Though usually the first time I see a new movie is on a rental from blu-ray or with my friend when he gets a new film on Vudu, where he is buying most new films these days. In the rare event I like a film enough to own it I might pick it up years later at a used sale but there is no need for me to rush out and buy it when it releases. I've done my best to get rid of most of my DVDs I had collected over time and have been very slow to buy any blu rays simply because I don't feel compelled to own it. If I want to watch it again I can always rent it on Netflix again.

I swore I would never get into digital media but I have to admit I'm becoming a bit of a convert. Buy a movie from iTunes store, choose it on my Apple TV and hit play- The film starts.

No long loading times in the BluRay Player, no fiddling to get past the opening previews, no figuring out the onscreen layout and controls.

Also a lot of stuff I want in HD is only available in digital form, with no BluRay release in sight.

I'm a little disappointed, none of the stores around me got the gift set, so I bought it on Amazon instead. It should arrive tomorrow.

Well personally I wouldn't buy anything on iTunes because you are just paying for a rental for 24 hours or something. But there are often times where a movie shows up on Netflix streaming before I have gotten the blu ray rental and we watch it all quickly on streaming. Even better are those Netflix original series that release all of the episodes at once.

You can also buy and download a copy onto your computer or stream from iTunes servers in perpetuity. Same as their music.

Streaming doesn't offer the audio fidelity that Blu Ray is capable of yet, does it?

No it doesn't. But most people aren't going to notice the difference. You still get DVD quality audio, some sort of Dolby Digital surround, which is about what you get now with TV shows. That is why with certain films I do end up renting the blu-ray rather than streaming them.

Yep, bought it this week. It gets off to a shaky start but turns into a fun adventure.

Overall I've liked all the films in the series, they all have their highs and lows, and this is the same. Solid entertaining stuff. Kinda surprised that it became the third highest-grossing film of all time, though. And watching the movie had me appreciate MG's score a bit more. Have to dig that out for another listen.

I know it's not the best movie, but I love it! I got the gift set with the 2 dinosaur sculptures plus the 3D, 2D combo pack. It's great!

Bought the dvd, watched it, passed it on to girlfriends kids. Same formula as all the other 19 films, better cgi and some incredibly irritating and breathtakingly dumb humans.

I quite enjoyed this one. I still have a problem with [STARTSPOILER] a human having any sustained success training carnivorous dinosaurs - the second "the hounds were released" they should have leapt around and murdered all the humans. [ENDSPOILER]

Kill all humans.

I suppose one might argue a precedent exists with training lions and tigers, but... ... ... dinosaurs.

BUT I think they presented a fairly intelligent story. People finding themselves in possession of guns need to come to grips with their capacities for using them. So many people armed, so few taking a shot.

Pratt and his female counterpart whose name escapes me did a surprising job. I`ve not been a fan of Donofrio`s acting (fresh at first, then somewhat tried later on, career-wise) though this role had enough depth to keep me interested. Not quite enough to be completely believable... enough to suffice.

Excepting Goldblum`s presence, I enjoyed this much more than I did JP 2. Definitely glad I saw it. Good director too (special features...).

There was one part that nearly had me in tears with (UNintended) laughter--and the same with everyone else in the theater.
I'm sure you all know which one.
The slo-mo hero shot of the missing raptor racing around the corner just in time and trampolining off the Rex.

That shot made the $20 popcorn & Coke worthwhile! LOL

I don't know. The film is a fun romp in and of itself, but it fails on so many levels compared to the first three films (all of which I love dearly). I'll probably wait a bit to see if there will be any more sequels.

Hi Thor!smileI thought it was a huge improvement over JURASSIC PARK III. I think it redeemed the series. I had no interest after JPIII for another JP film.

yeah, i gotta agree with this assessment

Fast motion, left to right camera pans, still causes digital breakup on occasion
