Well I somehow missed it, so I appreciate the link provided by the OP.
Same here, and also appreciate the link - really enjoyed watching that! Thanks OP
P.S. Find it rather sad someone has to post a list of links to the previous times this link has been posted..... Comes over as rather sarcastic/snide...

Not really. Some of us prefer neat and tidy places where discussions of one topic is contained in one thread (and also encourage people to use the search engine more). Prevents us from repeating our thoughts over and over again. So it's not "oh stupid you for posting yet another thread about this!", but rather "we've discussed this before, and you'll find my thoughts within this link". More convenient that way. That's all.

Geez....what's your problem? A bit of an over-reaction, don't you think? It's sometimes useful not to read the worst possible intentions into things, especially when one is dealing with online discussion.
With all of these re-issues and new versions on blu ray this rare documentary deserves to be out in blu ray set as a bonus. I think Lucasfilm has it in its archives for sure. There were a few clips of the same documentary in the EMPIRE tribute with Williams interview clips on the recent blu ray set. Maybe when the new set emerges such as the un-altered original versions we might get lucky?
All right, knock it off please. Yes, it has been posted in the past, and it was posted again in good faith and it continues to be of interest to readers. The links to the past discussions are helpful but no need to be obnoxious.

This particular documentary was made by the BBC, but with full cooperation with Lucasfilm. I guess the footage of Williams conducting could be made by Lucasfilm and given to the BBC to use in the doc, it'd be interesting to know how that worked. There is another BBC documentary lurking about from three years later (I think) that is mostly framed around a new discussion between Williams and Andre Previn. It contains most of the same scoring footage as the EMPIRE doc, but not necessarily in the same order. (Can't remember the name of it at the moment, will check when I get home.)

The BBC Previn/Williams conversation is - I think - Personal Notes
That's right. "Personal Notes" is the name of that one. Not to be confused with the roundtable discussion with Williams, Previn and Rozsa (where Williams hardly says a word).
Hadn't seen the documentary, so thanks for posting it.
One odd thing though. I'm sure I've seen the Ben Burt-fragmant about the sound of the Falcon's hyperdrive malfunctioning before. But in another documentary. Does anyone else remember that too?

Possibly the "Empire of Dreams" documentary...
Isn't that sound the sound of an avorted plane engine's ignition ?
