THE WRIGHT BROTHERS---HBO miniseries underway based on the book about Wilbur and Orville Wright who made man's first powered flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina in 1903. The miniseries, with Tom Hanks as co-producer, is based on the book by David McCullough, author of JOHN ADAMS, which was also made into an HBO/Tom Hanks miniseries.
Also, Steven Spielberg said he's interested in developing a movie about the Wright brothers, "I've always wanted to go back to history and tell a story about the Wright brothers. I've been endlessly compelled since childhood about how we got off the ground for the first time. And I'd love to get into their noodles to figure out how they figured it out."
HACKSAW RIDGE---photo released from the Mel Gibson World War II movie about Desmond T. Doss, the first conscientious objector to be awarded the Medal of Honor. Andrew Garfield, Sam Worthington, Teresa Palmer and Vince Vaughn star.
WESTWORLD---a consent for people seeking roles as extras on the HBO series based on the Michael Crichton novel/movie states the following:
"This document serves to inform you that this project will require you to be fully nude and/or witness others fully nude and participate in graphic sexual situations.
By accepting this Project assignment, you may be required to do any of the following: appear fully nude; wear a pubic hair patch; perform genital-to-genital touching; have your genitals painted; simulate oral sex with hand-to-genital touching; contort to form a table-like shape while being fully nude; pose on all fours while others who are fully nude ride on your back; ride on someone's back while you are both fully nude; and other assorted acts the Project may require.

GAME OF THRONES---George RR Martin denied a report that a prequel movie based on the tv series is underway, "Yes, completely false. No one is working on any movie just now. And if there was a movie, it would not be about Robert's Rebellion."
JACK RYAN---Amazon will develop the tv series based on the Tom Clancy character "in his prime" as a CIA operative.
HALLOWEEN---the original 1978 John Carpenter horror movie will be shown in 220 theaters on October 29.
IN SAND AND BLOOD---Russell Crowe will star in this movie based on the book SKELETONS IN THE ZAHARA: A TRUE STORY OF SURVIVAL in which Captain James Riley and survivors of his crew are shipwrecked off the coast of western Sahara in 1815. They are captured and sold into slavery.
BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE---the sequel has been rated PG-13.
THE FIGHTING SEASON: SOLDIER EDITION---tv series underway which will be a sequel to the six-part documentary THE FIGHTING SEASON. The tv series will focus on unconventional warfare in Iraq and Afghanistan. Ricky Schroder is the producer.
VESSELS---supernatural movie underway based on the haunting tales aboard the ocean liner Queen Mary.
ENCHANTED---the sequel will be titled DISENCHANTED.
