very interesting sound samples..I am very picky about the nowadays overabused introduction of electronica into orchestral scores, but this guy seems to do it right..for sure he can write exciting ostinatos. Also, I found the pizzicato "foundations" of the main title most interesting. I hope Varese's european arm , Colosseum, will sell this.. Thanks for the nice note, I forwarded this lovely note to the composer! Not sure if Col. will carry this I'm afraid. I believe Screen Archives will. BTW, here are a few photos from the premiere which was held at Citiwalk at Universal Studios Hollywood! I found this very interesting interview with Edwin Wendler, where he talks in general about his craft, influences, etc..and about his most recent assigments , most prominently Unnatural. https://soundcloud.com/mark_gordon/composer-edwin-wendler he sounds like a really cool and thank god passionate guy I know the composer quite well and can say yes he's a very down to Earth humble guy. He's as big of a soundtrack nerd as all of us, LITERALLY. All he listens to his soundtracks and stays up to date with all our other favorite labels like Intrada and La-La Land and Quartet etc. That interview was actually an hour long and was QUITE interesting, but they shortened it. We're hopeful to post the longer one sometime in the future. Edwin tries to bring something unique and clever to each score he does. He doesn't want to just "phone it in" as they say. He also loves doing mixed meters like Goldsmith did to make these sound different.
