Wow, how cool is that? I'm a beaming proud Canadian after watching and reading about this little known work of Williams. Glad it's on youtube for all to enjoy!
Of course, since I first acquired this film several years ago (through a colleague that contacted the film company directly), it has since been put on Youtube (albeit with cropped sides), talked about here and there, and now even John Williams talks about it in this recent article. Great stuff for people like me who obsess about the composer's early years.
Did you know that he also has Canadian ancestry on his mother's side? In fact, some of them resided in St. John's, where Williams was stationed.
