WOW! Saw this on DVD for the first time and LOVED it!

Guy playing Orson was amazing and the whole cast including Claire Danes, Zoe Kazan and Zac Efron were really great! The actor playing Welles, Christian Mckay would be superb in a Bio-Pic on Welles. Just spot on Wonderful!

Very enjoyable movie! Check it out!

Couldn't agree with you more. I saw it in the theater when it first came out. It's good in that it covers a part of Welles' life that is rarely dramatized--his stage work--rather than his films. Wished it could just go on longer.

Amazing how they could never manage to make a movie about this while he was alive, even though they talked with him about it for ages, even wanted him to direct it.

(People could never manage to come through for him on projects after a certain point; just talk, talk, talk.)

I couldn't believe the Orson Welles actor was from Bury, which is near to where i was brought up! He's excellent and i also really liked that Zac Effron lad, too. Thought he did a good job. A tidy little film.

Damn, I thought this was about a story/picture of you and Welles, zooba (since you've worked as an extra on so many movies, and met all these stars, like Spielberg). Either way, seems like an interesting movie.

Very neat film and Mackay was wonderful. He is a multi-talented fellow, as we see in his IMDB bio:

Appeared in the pantomime "Babes in the Wood" - Harrogate Theatre, Harrogate (2001).

His credits with Clwyd Theatr Cymru include Captain Brice in "Arcadia" by Tom Stoppard (2007) and the director in "Memory" by Jonathan Lichtenstein (2006), performed in New York.

Played the composer Dmitri Shostakovich in "Master Class" by David Pownall - Derby Playhouse (2006).

Played Orson Welles in "Rosebud: The Lives of Orson Welles" in 2004, written by Mark Jenkins, directed by Josh Richards. The play won the Scotsman Fringe First and Best of Edinburgh awards at the 2004 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and subsequently toured throughout the U.K., New York, Toronto, and London (co-produced by Steven Berkoff).

Has performed as a concert pianist in Europe and Australia.

He was introduced to the Royal Shakespeare Company by Lord Richard Attenborough and played "Mardian" in the 2002 production of "Antony & Cleopatra" in Stratford Upon Avon and London's West End.

he's waiting to do a "Me & Anthony Quinn" thread which will explain his screen name. You know...."Zooba the Greek" [read with a Mr. Peabody pun voice].
