This has been gnawing at me for a while....
Have you ever noticed that when you turn on or off one of your electronic devices, the little "theme" it plays when it turns on or off sounds like the first few notes of a film score?
I'll give you my examples.... whenever I turn on my Sony digital camera it plays 4 notes that are identical to part of one of the tracks from Goldsmith's KIng Solomon's Mines!
When I turn on my tracfone, it sounds just like Horner's theme from Dad.
My Toshiba laptop... whenever I turn THAT on, it sounds like the first four notes of the song from On the Town called - I think - "New York, New York"( It's a helluva town, etc.).
Do any of you have any examples?

I have it the other way around. I get the very distinct impression every time that I hear a Microsoft tune, either for an incoming Outlook-message or for locking the computer, when I hear "Under Siege 2: Dark Territory" track "Gates of hell" t= 4:00. After all the main issue of that film is about downing and reactivating computers and IT-connections.
Gates of hell t= 1:32-1:35 also has a very faint sound in the background that reminds me of a high rev air tool as used in a car body shop.
