The first one was not very good. If somebody can take that idea and make it into something good or great, I'm all for it. The best reason to do a remake.

I have zero connection or interest in the character, but this is a perfect example of why Hollywood is shit lately. The point of Nancy Drew is to be a smarter-than-adults, precocious child-detective - not a goddamn adult working Violent Crimes.
Its like the old issue with Young Sherlock Holmes: the kids stayed away because they thought Sherlock Holmes would be too boring and the adults thought the word "Young" meant it was for kids. No one went to see it and the film bombed.
