So the hint for BTTF says:

1 of 3 gets a refurbished new packaging job. What was once a 2-CD set geared towards collectors, this release features just disc one for the broader market. It was rebuilt from the ground up for this release, but it's the exact same program.

Yet the product listing that just went up says:

(Owners of the original 2-CD set need not apply.)

I'm a bit confused. Is the new CD any improvement over disc 1 of the old one? If it is, I'd probably rebuy it.

I too am wondering about this. Anybody know?

If you read Roger's description on the Intrada board announcement thread you'll indeed see it is a rebuilt from the ground up new mastering:

Maybe Mike M. can expand on what the improvements are.

When Mondo expressed interest in putting this out we realized the existing 16 bit CD master wasn't sufficient. So Doug had to go back to the original transfers and start over to create a master for the LP. He took the opportunity to redo a CD master as well. Does it sound better? Probably. Will it be revolutionary? Probably not.

On the other hand your new In Harm's Way seems like a tremendous improvement, judging from the sound clips Roger!
