I think BTTF2 really missed the boat in its depiction of October 2015. It never showed what terrific expanded movie soundtracks would be available! Beats the heck out of the Atrocity Channel.

I have been refreshing the New Releases page for the last 20 minutes, forgetting this was a pre-order.

I dont think anyone's posted an announcement thread for the third Intrada pre-order release which is for the first film in the trilogy. It's a reissue of disc #1 from their previous 2-CD release: http://store.intrada.com/s.nl/it.A/id.9907/.f?sc=13&category=-113 From the website: Intrada previously released a special 2-CD version of the legendary soundtrack in 2008, with a second CD featuring early unused versions of Silvestri's score. Due to the incredible popularity of that original release (which sold the maximum number of units allowable under license and is now out-of-print), Intrada is proud to offer, in cooperation with Universal Pictures, a follow-up release containing just the contents of the first disc in that set, which features the score as heard in the film. (Owners of the original 2-CD set need not apply.) Oddly, it doesn't include the "rebuilt from the ground up" from the original clues, but rather notes that those of us who have the 2CD version "need not apply." Is it safe to assume the sound quality is exactly the same?

I hope the sound quality is the same. My order is in, but it doesn't include the re-release of Part 1.

Indeed, let me add my name to the growing group here that is interested in double-dipping if there was a remastering of the original Back To The Future. The website did say rebuilt from the ground up and the front page of Intrada lists it as being "Remastered" on their banner. But there is no mention of remastering when you click on the dedicated page for The Back To The Future one disc version.
