UPDATE: THE FILM IS SET FOR I-MAX RELEASE THIS OCTOBER: It didn’t show up in the Cannes line-up as some predicted, but we won’t have to wait too long for Terrence Malick’s long-gestating Voyage of Time. The Ennio Morricone-scored project — which is technically two films, one a more educational 40-minute IMAX version narrated by Brad Pitt and the other a feature-length cut narrated by Cate Blanchett — is described as “a celebration of the earth – from the birth of the universe to its final collapse.” Finally, we have our first official confirmation on when it will arrive. Buried deep in an IMAX press release (http://www.imax.com/content/imax-corporation-reports-first-quarter-2016-financial-results-highlights) about its first quarter 2016 earnings, they reveal that an October 7th, 2016 release is set for the IMAX version, which now makes a TIFF and/or Venice premiere likely. With only IMAX reporting now, there isn’t an update regarding the feature-length version, but hopefully it finds distribution around the same time. VOYAGE OF TIME is a celebration of the earth, displaying the whole of time, from the birth of the universe to its final collapse. This film examines all that went to prepare the miracle that stands before us now. Science and spirit, birth and death, the grand cosmos and the minute life systems of our planet – all come together in Malick’s most ambitious film to date.

I don't see Morricone's name anywhere on that poster. Over at IMDb Hanan Townshend is credited for additional music, which was not originally on the IMDb page. That doesn't look good. I don't see any music credit, to my eye. And I saved it, increased the size and even inverted the colors to get a better look.

Probably mostly classical stuff, then. Was hoping for a Morricone score but clearly it didn't seem likely as the months have gone on and there wasn't any news about it.

We might be out of luck. Found this at another score board I post at, just now: Lastly, although it was reported that Ennio Morricone would be re-teaming with Malick to score the project, his name isn’t found in any credits at this stage. Instead, it looks as if the director worked with sound designer Joel Dougherty to “weave natural and speculative sounds into the film’s universe” and music supervisor Lauren Mikus to “choose a variety of instrumental pieces that evoke the swirling, swelling, creative energy of life at both ends of the magnitude scale."
https://thefilmstage.com/news/the-making-of-terrence-malicks-ambitious-documentary-voyage-of-time/ The user also said: "There're also other reports on message boards saying Morricone's name has been taken off credits lists from producing company Wild Bunch." But I dont' recall anything official on Morricone scoring that.
