With the recent release of COUNT YORGA, VAMPIRE on Blu-ray by Twilight Time (with isolated score), I was wondering: Am I the only one who would like to see Bill Marx's score released on CD?

I loved the Yorga series of vampire films.
They were a slightly different slant to the hammer dracula n carmilla ones.
Always had a surprising twist at the end.
And the scores were good.

Both! Count me in most definitely.

Thoughts for scores from other cult films?

Carl Zittrer - Paul Zaza scores. Murder By Decree, Black Xmas, Deathdream, Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things, Prom Night.

Devil's Rain, by Al De Lory

Race With The Devil, by Leonard Rosenman

Maaaaaaaaybeeeeee...

It's been about a year with no further word. Should give up all hope of this happening?

I was hoping it would appear this month...and have the Robert McGinnis poster art as it's cover.

We're not doing it, but another label may have picked up the rights

I live two blocks from where a part of the film was shot.
A little over an hour into the movie, William Marshall runs out of a building into the street at night.

William Marshall isn't in COUNT YORGA. You either have the wrong actor or the wrong movie.

Was hoping...

Shame it will not be released. Fine scores, good vampire films. Got to get those Blu Rays.

Got to get me a player first. Ha ha...

My old address was 1817 N. Ivar up until the mid 90's. Spent many a night stumbling out of The Lemon Twist. Yes, it's "Blacula".

I spent over five minutes yesterday trying to find the film on youtube so I could hear some of the music. Every friggin' single load was the same thing -- music cut off and you can only hear the audio, so I couldn't see what I was doing to skim around to hear it.

By the way, gotta watch out for those blaculas:

If we still have copies of the cult classic When a Stranger Calls, you think Count Yorga is going to sell more than a couple hundred? It is to laugh.

I think you underestimate the buyers who will trot these out (marked up, of course) at all kinds of con's. At those events the disposable income is flowing like water.

I don't underestimate anything, as I've done these kinds of titles before - they've all done okay because they were Les Baxter or Dana Kaproff or Albert Glasser. Bill Marx? Uh uh, and it's a different market today. If what you were saying was true, then When a Stranger Calls would have sold out long ago. That was Holy Grail time for so many here, if you read those posts, and then it sold okay but we've been sitting on two hundred of them for ages now.

But...he's a Vampire from the '70's! wink

How about you redirect your anger towards the 200 cheap skates who took a download of it instead of buying a copy? I hear resenting your product leads to bad eating habits. wink
