This is such a lovely and melancholy ethereal score to a wonderful film with several memorable themes and a terrific combination of synth and orchestra. Since this WB score is only 29 minutes long it could be combined with another lovely and rather short WB Newman score BOYS ON THE SIDE. Man, that would make a fantastic Intrada release.

And the amazing song "Ruler of my heart" not composed by Newman should be included on such release as well since it is such an integral part of the film.

Aye. Lovely, dreamy nature to this score.
Newman adapts the Enya piece that Horner did for Titanic.
I can chill to this score any day.

There was a compilation soundtrack and "inspired by" CD released in Australia in 1982 which includes RULER OF MY HEART, but no original score.

Yes, 2:22 onwards sounds quite similar to "Southampton" from Titanic, though the suggested adaptation credit may need switching due to That Night being released in 1992 wink
