Another exciting release - and totally out of the blue! Many thanks La La Land! With Vocalion's announcement just a few days ago this will indeed be a very expensive Christmas. And we don't know yet what Intrada has in store. 2015 was really an amazing year for soundtrack collectors!

Oh boy. Oh boy, Oh boy, Oh boy! I really don't have words to describe how much I'm looking forward to this. As I've said before, we really are living in a golden age for soundtrack appreciation and collecting. My profound thanks go to all those who've worked to bring this release to reality. My thanks also go to the many fans who've been clamouring for this, because without you, this wouldn't probably have happened.

Wow. Very sweet! I guess this set contains everything (& more) the 2004 24-tracks Sony Expanded Edition has? No, the film version of the long Pawnee attack is extended and ever so slightly different. If you want the tighter, superior version, you'll have to hang on to the old expanded release, as it appears the album version wasn't included (it's 6:15 long). That's off the top of my head. I'm curious about the demo or demos which were not included, at least I don't see it or them on the tracklisting. As written on the board before: "legendary demo recording (Jon Burlingame wrote about them in his notes). "

Justin Boggan wrote: If you want the tighter, superior version, you'll have to hang on to the old expanded release ..." I'm sorry, but what are your criteria, other than "I like this version more", for describing one version as superior?

It's been too long since I've seen the film to remember all of it, but for one example: at one point there is a short timpani (or tom tom) interlude that then breaks back into the action. In the film it meanders for two or three times that length, breaking the flow. Again, I did say "tighter".
