Can it really be that there is no post about that absolutely gorgeous score? It`s my all time favorite Thomas Newman score. The hints of some baroque (which often is used in films for a university environment) combined with the Thomas Newman trademarks make this a truly wonderful score. Especially since it is for an absolutely terrifiv movie.
I haven`t seen the film in quite a while. Is there a lot of material missing that would justify an expanded rerelease?

I watched this film for my first time last week. The score is gorgeous, and really lifts the movie to heights greater than it deserves.

It's a great score... good movie as well. Watched it earlier this year for the first time since its theatrical run. As far as I remember, the regular soundtrack edition serves the score well. There is nothing (substantially, can't vouch for "absolutely not a single second") missing.

I remember buying this CD for my sister in the early 90s, because she liked those tango songs in the film...

I still haven't seen the film.

I really like this score but think the film is terrible.
How in the name of JW did Pacino win the Oscar for playing a blind guy the way I would (I can't act btw).
Shocking!! Pulls me out of the film everytime.
To think of all the great roles Pacino has done - before he adopted OTT shouty mode - and this gets him the Oscar!!??
Sums them up really.
