Just try ESET and the other things I and anybody else has recommended and see how the comptuer works after ward. Be prepared to spend two or more hours working on it, though.

You should also run any program for malicious infections, in Safe Mode as well:

Windows button > type: msconfig and press enter > click the Boot tab and choose Safe Mode. Restart to get into Safe Mode. The compuer layout will look different and you will not be able to connect to the internet (some malicious programs try to re-install themselves and connect to pages online while you try to get rid of them). Just repeat the process when done scanning and choose "Normal startup" which should be on the initial tab (General).

Also, before installing anything, make sure you create a Restore Point. I have no idea of which version of Windows you are running. They keep changing hwo to do shit with each new version. I can link to a youtube video on that if I had the version. To find your version:

Windows button > type winver and press enter. It will pop up telling you what you have. Windows 8, Windows Vista, what ever.

Keep in mind when doing that and using certain scanners, other progams may close and anything you didn't save may be lost. Always save and close first.
