It's not often I need help to locate threads, but now I do.
I was burglarized this weekend, and one of the things the thiefs took was my old Denon amplifier. For the sake of me, I can't remember what type it was, and I need that info for the insurance. Awhile back (could be a year ago or so), we had a thread where we posted our HiFi setups with pics, and I remember I posted the type there.
So do any of you remember this thread and what it was called? Thanks.

Thor, that's very upsetting news. Hope you can claim the lost goods in the insurance. Also I hope your cd/dvd collection was not stolen.
Thanks, Amer! My CD collection is safe. Alas, that was not the thread where I posted my Denon amplifier type. Dammit, I'm usually good at remembering this stuff.
The money loss is one thing (and the hassle of re-acquiring items, even if you get money from the insurance), but the thiefs also took away some items with affective value from my basement storage room -- including the teddybear I got when I was 5, the only memento I've kept from my childhood. No honour among thiefs anymore, it seems.
Sorry to hear you fell victim of theft Thor. I hope your insurance will cover the hifi etc., but who in their right mind would steal an old teddybear? That's insane. Was it only your place or fellow tenants as well?

Yeah, also the neighbouring storage room. He lost artwork and silverware for hundreds of thousands of kroner. My loss was "only" some 20.000 kroner ($2500).
I'm glad I still keep my CD's in my apartment in an age where most people put them in boxes and store them away.
Not relevant to the HiFi link, Thor, but just wanted to add to those expressing condolences for a rotten thing to happen to anyone. Any chance of the police catching the culprits? When that happened at my mum's house back in the '80s, they looked as if they couldn't be bothered. I suppose they see far worse things, but that's not the point. Is there really nothing they can do in these cases?

Law enforcement can check for local and online ads selling the stolen equipment. More thieving criminals are dumb enough to sell the stuff in such a manner than you would probably think.
I had my place broken into a few years ago. Police found the culprits in a couple of days after they sold some of the stuff to a pawn shop. They turned out to be heroin junkies.
They were probably only interested in expanded soundtracks.
More seriously, I still have my Teddy Bear from when I was three years old and I'd be absolutely devastated to lose him. When I flew to America twenty years ago, I kept him with me on the plane, for fear my luggage might get mislaid or stolen. Today they'd probably think a grown man carrying his Teddy Bear was a potential security risk. I hope you get your old friend back.
