I love Jerry Goldsmith's work, but I'd happily go a full year without any Goldsmith releases if I could have Year of the Comet, Doppelganger and Bernstein's Cousteau scores instead!

I worked on one that should be coming early 2016. Mike M. Bless you, Mike, for throwing a bone to us afflicted with Jerry Goldsmith obsession! To Amer -- I think Quartet's our best bet at this point for a final Jerry Goldsmith release of 2015, due to this: "3 and 4 – The Christmas batch: Only two this years, but what a duo!. Ultimate releases with two of the most beloved composers. Both are a 2CD editions, and will be announced on December 14." Composers don't get more beloved than Goldsmith. My best guess is The Swarm since they've been producing definitive versions of other Prometheus titles lately (King Solomon's Mines, Basic Instinct) and it has a popular LP program which has never been commercially released on CD. I was hoping that LLL would have a Goldsmith in their big final batch (since they've only put out a single Goldsmith title all year, the very slight expansion of Magic), but the early 2016 title Mike is referring to is probably one of the three titles of theirs that potentially could have been in the batch, but which they decided to push into January. It also now seems clear that Intrada's final batch of releases will not contain a Goldsmith, but we can hardly complain about their Goldsmith output this year because on their own they've put out no less than eight expansions and a couple reissues to boot! Yavar Agreed. A final Goldsmith set to close the year would be just fantastic. I wont even guess what Quartet Title it will be if its a Goldsmith. I love the way they surprise us. They have done a stellar work on BASIC INSTINCT from what I hear (My set is still in order limbo) and their production values are top notch. Eagerly awaiting the 2 sets and the excitement. And then it will be just STAR WARS EPISODE 7 as Dec 18 approaches.

What a riddle! You aren't referring to the new recording of The Blue Max, due February-ish, by any chance? It would seem to fit everything you wrote, aside from it already being common knowledge here... Yavar
