... It's a little daunting all-around to listen to, so I made a playlist of highlights for myself. Just curious, since the full archive runs for almost 10 hours, how long was the playlist you assembled? I loaded the whole thing in a playlist and am starting by eliminating the tracks I know I will not want. I can't tell you how long without cracking out my iTunes laptop, but I narrowed it down to maybe 1/4 the amount of tracks. I removed anything that duplicates album tracks (i.e. "clean" versions, instrumental versions of songs, etc). I removed almost all instrument variations or take variations of other previously released tracks, unless they were VERY significantly different. I did not keep multiples of the same track (i.e. I kept the film version of Deer Forest Meadow but not the original). I don't think I kept any of the source music (RR jukebox music, Great Northern music, Miss Twin Peaks music) with the exception of the full "I'm Hurt Bad." So my final playlist probably ends up at something like 3 hours - still an unwieldy amount of music, but with more variety than listening to it through. I still have the other stuff, and it'll shuffle through my regular random shuffle, but if I want a condensed version of the TP archive, that's how I go.

Thanks for the link, but it says "Apple lossless"; what does this mean, practically speaking, please? I see Windows Media Player cannot play this format, but Media Player Classic Home Cinema can, so I could listen to the files on my PC laptop. What about burning a CD, though? iWisoft's (free) Video Converter does not list this, so I won't be able to convert it to wav. Apple services are designed to be used exclusively on Apple products (that's why I loathe them). If you load the tracks into iTunes, the program's interface allows you to burn them to a CD, in either the original lossless format or by converting them to mp3s first, your choice.

Here is a place to talk about the Twin Peaks Archive, all 212 tracks, all nine hours and 47 minutes. I recently downloaded this for the bargain price of $9.90. As I begin to absorb this, I plan to post my picks for some of the best tracks. You are invited to do likewise. For those who have this, what are your thoughts? Amazing deal. It's awesome! I'm tempted to to get this for the few tracks I seemed to have missed.
