I can't remember where I was, but it was a few weeks ago... I was at a Family Dollar and looked in the Varese section, and saw a CD from a film I've never heard of called Monster House. I didn't look to see who it was composed by. Have any of you come across this title?

Last night on the way home from work, I stopped a FD for some household supplies and had to look at their CD section. I always hope to find some old Varese titles, but never do anymore, until last night. They had Beyond Borders (James Horner), Doom (Clint Mansell), Gridiron Gang (Trevor Rabin) and Pathfinder (Jonathan Elias). I already have the Horner, so I bought them all. I could not pass them up since they were marked $2!

Gridiron - surprisingly very nice, thematic orchestral score. Pathfinder - big disappointment from a composer I usually enjoy, shapeless noisy noise. Played it a few times & never remember one bar. I also went on an FD rampage a few years ago - most of the finds were junk in the end, but the price was worth finding that out on my own, and you never know till you try.
