Well, it is David Yates, so he'll probably use his composer of choice again: Nicholas Hooper I see on IMDb that the project has been broken up into three films, with the others for 2018 and 2020.

Well Yates is using Mario Grigorov for Legend of Tarzan, so I wouldn't say that. Ah, no, using a guy once vs. my statement that Hooper is his regular composer of choice, is far more likely. He's been using Hooper since his very first feature length film in 1991. Before that was a short with no composer and inbetween are some TV projects with no composer listed on IMDb, one TV movie scored by Jonathan Goldsmith, and the last Potter films in which he worked with Desplat. If anything you could say Desplat has a chance (who was originally rumored for Tarzan).

I hope it's not Nicholas Hooper, can't remember a single note he wrote for his two Harry Potter movies. I think Desplat is a very likely candidate, or the Grigorov guy, depending on how his Tarzan score goes. I know it's not gonna happen, but it would be a great David Newman score.

Justin, if He was getting back together with Hooper why didn't Hooper score Tarzan? I'd be very surprised if Hooper came back to the wizarding universe. Yavar P.S. YES to Christian's choices. And since we're just wishing anyway, let me also throw in Christopher Gordon.

Sorry to Hooper, but I've yet to hear anything from him that makes me happy he scores new films. Admittedly I've only sampled two Potter films and one documentary. I'm absolutely tired of Desplat. Desplat oversaturation; Desplaturation. Off hand choices, if I were choosing the FBaWtFT composer: William Ross Bruce Broughton Bruce Babcock If you have the Babcock promo, you know why. Cynthia Millar I'm thinking of her score for the 1995 film "Three Wishes". She worked with Bernstein a few times. Gabriel Yared Conrad Pope As to why Hooper didn't score Tarzan, we can only speculate. Maybe Hooper doesn't like the bigger projects. Maybe he's booked/was booked (since the Tarzan score is done and Hopper at that time was doing a movie and a TV series). Maybe the studio wanted somebody else. All I know is Yates has worked with the guy over and over again since 1991 with only breif projects without him. If you've been eating pizza since 1991 with only breif times you haven't, it's fair to say you're going to eat mroe pizza in the future.
