Sean Connery did seven films that were scored by Jerry Goldsmith, and I think Anthony Quinn did seven scored by Maurice Jarre, with Harrison Ford at the most (that I can think of) with 10 films scored by John Williams.

Anyone know of any other significant composer/actor combinations out there?

Leonard Rosenman had been James Dean's piano teacher, and got his big break in film scoring through that connection, going on to score two out of the three films Dean made before his untimely death.

I'd love to know the background on Gabriel Yared becoming the composer of choice for Angelina Jolie, given that her husband was the most powerful person on the set of Troy, and if he knew anything about it, could have secured Yared's stay on that film. (He may have been hard at work on something else by then and oblivious). Either way, I'm sure the Troy debacle has something to do with Yared's involvement with Brangelina now.

John Barry did eight Connery films. Not that it means anything.

Not number-wise,the Korngold/Flynn team is significant

It's not too bad on the numbers - 7

Captain Blood
The Prince and the Pauper
Another Dawn
The Adventures of Robin Hood
The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex
The Sea Hawk
Escape Me Never

And the IMDB lists Korngold as providing uncredited (tracked?) music for SAN ANTONIO.
