Nope. I have on occasion rented or purchased a movie I wasn't otherwise interested in just to hear the score in context, but I don't think I've ever collected for that reason. (I've been a completist for a few directors and screenwriters, but never a composer, actor or cinematographer or anything, I think.) Occasionally I have embarked on a "project" to see every film scored by a composer, but I usually burn out pretty quickly. I started on Goldsmith, tracked down Black Patch, started making my way through his movies, got hung up when The Stripper was only available on VHS and I no longer have a VHS player. Also didn't have time to go through all his TV scores and such. I also started on Horner, made it through his early Corman days, Deadly Blessing, a few others started filling in the gaps in his filmography, but again I only have so much time to watch movies.

In the meantime, any more comments or experience? TG As much as I enjoy movies on Bluray -- and I really do, they are a great format, by far superior to DVDs (not to mention VHS) on all counts -- I tend not to buy movies I don't intent do watch a few times (or where I am very interested in the bonus materials). In fact, since I can stream many movies nowadays in HD quality, I don't feel the need to go out and buy a lot of movies. Just a few select ones.
