The title of the film? Have you seen the trailers?
My guess is that, besides being the title of the film-within-the film which the Clooney actor character appears in, "Hail, Caesar" probably has some broader allegorical or symbolic significance as well. It IS a Coen brothers movie, after all.
EDIT: I was looking for a songwriting credit for "No Dames" and found it (Henry Krieger) here . . .
This was supposed to be released today according to Amazon but they say it is "out of stock."
Makes me nervous that Backlot Records might have cancelled a physical release at the last minute.
James
yeah same here. this is really becoming a thoroughly obnoxious trend that is starting to happen way to regularly now. i'm accumulating a healthy number of back orders that i suspect will hang out on my amazon order page forever.
Humorous (but not hilarious) film. Worth two hours of your time, though, for anyone who likes old Hollywood. The score CD is currently available at Amazon for only $9.

AHA!! I've read before that Amazon recognizes the IP address of who is ordering, and may offer different prices for the same item to different people at the same time. Here's the proof. I ordered the CD for $8.99 yesterday, and by clicking the link above just moments ago, it is still showing up on my computer for $8.99, as shown in my screen capture below.
Hilarious and pompous film that needs a second viewing from me. Burwell's score and music is marvelous, par for the course. He's definitely killed it these past months, with Carol and The Finest Hours being absolute works of his genius.
I haven't seen the film but was listening to the album tonight and it was great as are most of Carter's scores. Beautiful, varied album. This man can do no wrong in my book.
