The final series is drawing to a close here in the UK.
On the whole, i’ve enjoyed it, although not as much as I enjoyed “Downton Abbey”. But, I can think of worse ways to spend a Sunday evening.
A very good cast helps it along, notably: Tom Goodman-Hill, Amanda Abbington, Ron Cook and (best of all!) Katherine Kelly.
It’s production values are quite sumptuous, although some of the exterior sets are rather odd and false looking.
The book on which this show is based -"Shopping, Seduction & Mr Selfridge” by Lindy Woodhead is much better and tells you far more about the real, fascinating Mr Selfridge.
