If I'm not mistaken, this item has not been mentioned yet:

https://www.facebook.com/FrancisLaiOfficiel/photos/a.583378171672277.1073741825.276345765708854/1147372625272826/?type=3&theater

Mind it's not a compilation like the previous FRANCIS LAI / CINEMA (3CD): it will feature the complete scores of various movies like UN HOMME QUI ME PLAIT, L'AVENTURE, C'EST L'AVENTURE, LE CORPS DE MON ENNEMI (first time on CD), LE PASSAGER DE LA PLUIE, LA COURSE DU LIEVRE A TRAVERS LES CHAMPS (slightly expanded), etc.
Francis Lai has also asked to include some less known scores of his in this box.

Official date of release: 8th of April 2016.
Enjoy

Any chance of, I'll Never Forget What's 'is Name (1967) & Hello-Goodbye (1970)? Both albums are with UMG.

I don't think these ones will be included but to be honest, I don't know yet all titles to be part of this box.

In case where you like Francis Lai, his recent score to Claude Lelouch's last movie UN + UNE has been released a few weeks ago in France:

http://musique.fnac.com/a9176883/Francis-Lai-Un-plus-une-Digipack-CD-album

The arrangements and the musical direction have been achieved by Nicolas Guiraud, seemingly a new collaborator. The album combines the new score, several reprises of the Symphonie du hasard originally written for the movie HASARDS ET COÏNCIDENCES as well as two classical pieces by Schubert and Chopin.

Where did you find the tracklist? The link above doesn't say so.

I would of course hope that it does NOT includes things like Un Homme et Une Femme since we already have the high-quality CD, but I doubt.

I wish we could finally get something from THE GAMES, THREE INTO TWO WON'T GO and HOUSE OF CARDS.

Slint, I discussed the contents with Stéphane Lerouge who's in charge of conceiving that box for FGL. As far as I can remember, a few known scores like BILITIS will be included but not that many, feel reassured. It therefore should be worth purchasing it.

The track-listing is indeed not yet known but you also have various clues on the front cover of the box. The picture of a bearded Jean-Paul Belmondo is for instance stemming from ITINERAIRE D'UN ENFANT GATE and another one is taken from this recent score:

Since I don't remember any other titles off the top of my head, I've been trying to guess some more thanks to the pictures. The one representing Romy Schneider is certainly from UN AMOUR DE PLUIE (74) and the one with Bernard Blier could be from PAR LE SANG DES AUTRES (74 or 73 depending on the sources):

Out of 7 CDs, there is only 1 + 1/2 CDs with 3 soundtracks that have on LP that I'm interested in. It will be nice to finally have them on CD, but knowing that it might be the only Francis Lai release in the decade (?), I must say I'm disappointed as a collector. But of course good news for Lai fans and soundtrack lovers in general.

Yes, although I already own some of these scores (LA COURSE DU LIEVRE A TRAVERS LES CHAMPS, LA BABY SITTER, BILITIS, etc), I definitely look forward to this box because it contains enough rare stuff such as L'AVENTURE, C'EST L'AVENTURE, LE CORPS DE MON ENNEMI or LE VOYOU to mention but three. By the way, LA BABY SITTER is one of my favourite tunes by Francis Lai.

A welcome surprise for French people is the presence of these cues, written in 1975 at the time when the 3d TV channel was launched:
18-26) Indicatifs FR3 (CD7)

Here are the official set cover and introduction text :

Spring 2016 will be the 50th anniversary of the music for A Man and a Woman, Francis Lai’s birth-certificate as a film-music composer.

To commemorate the event, Play-Time is proud to present this 7CD boxed set entitled Francis Lai Anthology, a collection whose simple aim is to present the (very) original soundtracks composed by the great Lai, now carefully restored for the occasion. Each album in the set has its own concept: Lelouch-Belmondo for example, with the music from Itinerary of a Spoiled Child and Love is a Funny Thing, or Lelouch-Hallyday, notably for the electrifying score from L'Aventure, c'est l'aventure (Money Money Money), a pop tsunami that was never published after the film’s release… until now. The set also includes the CD Double polars (from the films Body of my Enemy and The Crook), the iconic original score of Bilitis, here for the first time in its splendid unabbreviated version, and also a CD devoted to the productive association between Francis Lai and René Clément (with the music from their films And Hope to Die and The Baby sitter). Along the way, the contents reveal previously unreleased music and other rarities: the complete signature-tunes that Lai composed for FR3 Television; pieces written for short films (notably works directed by Claude Pinoteau); and an iconoclastic reading of Les Etoiles du Cinéma, specially recorded by the brilliant pianist and composer Jean-Michel Bernard in tribute to his master.

Francis Lai Anthology extends an invitation: to join a voyage through scores — both classics and some lesser-known pieces — that carry the signature of a melodic genius who has accomplished more than a career: a destiny.

Somewhat disappointed to see RIDER ON THE RAIN (Le Passager De La Pluie) wasn't included. Must be some rights issue.

Probably quite simply because it already has a full release! I'd actually be disappointed to have a duplicate on this compilation.
