I stumbled across a used copy of this for short dough. This is a really cool score, alternately reminiscent of Morricone's masterpiece "Danger: Diabolik!" and Bob Crewe's equally compelling "Barbarella."

The film currently has a 13% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, meaning that this primate is in no rush to add it to his Netflix queue anytime soon. (The promotional pics look dreadful.)

But the album is very well worth it if you're into stuff like Diabolik, Barbarella, and other scores with that sort of aesthetic.

Allow me to second that. This is a great throwback score from the pop producer of the moment (Winehouse's Back to Black and his own Uptown Funk, among others.) I'd be very happy if Mark Ronson got to score a good film sometime...
