Thanks for posting this news. I wonder if we'll get a "Red Shoes Ballet", music by Bernard Herrmann, release at some point? And how have they picked the selections?

Before anyone calls this out for being odd....it's really not. A lot of ballets make use of non ballet music (I have no less than three ballets on CD that use music by Tchaikovsky with nothing from his three actual ballets).
Herrmann's great lasting trademark both for Welles and Hitchcock is this facility for writing music describing 'sliding into the fate vortex' as in Vertigo, Psycho, Citizen Kane, Jane Eyre... and in North by Northwest he does it again in a different way with the mad fandango of somebody caught up in a crazy dance.
So you can see how it fits, sort of Rite of Spring-ish.
Combining music from different works is exactly the same as taking chapters from different books and arbitrarily combining them together. The result can only be incoherence. It's amazing that people like this spend so much time on everything else and then slap music on it in such an amateurish manner.
