The director confirmed this on Twitter, the score will be recorded in Prague.

A wonderful few days of recording with my favourite Scottish composer....terrific score...a great privilege to provide the musicians for Patrick. So lucky in last 4 weeks to have recorded such great music by Johann Johannsson, Nathaniel Mechely and Patrick as well as Maurice Jarre and Miklos Rozsa....with Dimtri Tiomkin's music in a few weeks time!

"Even that begs explaining, and though “A United Kingdom” mentions diamond mining (a form of exploitation so corrupt it all but destroyed the Congo), as well as the importance of placating South Africa, it mostly gives the impression that scenery and sunsets were Bechuanaland’s most important resources, and that both were best appreciated by lovers — as accentuated in postcard-worthy panoramas rendered heavenly by Patrick Doyle’s overripe orchestral score. "

"Still, Sam McCurdy's cinematography captures some of the lonely beauty of Botswana's dusty expanses and Patrick Doyle's score hits some romantic highpoints. "

Sounds good!

Fantastic! Looks like a promising year for Doyle; he also has Murder on the Orient Express and that Emoji movie (unconfirmed but he has a working relationship with the director).

To my knowledge, Patrick Doyle has yet to win an Academy Award or a Golden Globe (like most composers that year, he deserved one for SOMETHING he did in 1993). That Varese press machine!

He has yet to win an Oscar, Golden Globe or BAFTA award.

He did, however, place second at the Snohomish County, WA Chili Cook-Off in 1998, where his entry was described by local journalist Vern Pullenmuth as "trapped between the vagaries of chili and stew; luscious and pleasing to the palate but frustratingly one-note, as if the accents of poblano and bird's eye ready themselves to take flight but catch no wind aloft. Still, the contestant himself remains a gregarious and charming host. WOULD EAT AGAIN NOM NOM NOM."
