Soundtrack scheduled to be released in the UK on May 6th, I imagine a U.S. release date will follow shortly...

Samples here:

About 35 minutes of score, mostly done in a jazzy, big band style, and it sounds absolutely great!

Desplat talks about the score:

The film doesn't come out in the US until August, so the CD won't come out here till then at the earliest. If we even get a CD here, that is. I've already ordered the UK CD from amazon.co.uk.

I think it would have been great if the whole score had been written off-key.

Of course nobody is listening to it, you said it's full of big band and jazz music just a few clicks above!!!

The movie doesn't come out in the US until August, so I suspect most people here won't get the album till then. I had to import it from the UK.

Heard it... didn't made very strong impression... just another desplat on autopilot with a bit of jazz thrown in... hardly anything special.

Autopilot? How many Desplat scores sound like this one? Lokutus you always love to be negative like the rest of the people here. Don't blame Desplat if you can't discern.

Putting aside Lokutus expected negative post....

This score is indeed quite unique among Desplat's more recent output, but the film is a comedy so it did give him a chance to try a different style of composition.

True, I'm still wondering why he didn't do Legend. But Heffes's score was great and it had several of Desplat's touches so it sounded like a continuation of his works for the previous Stephen Frears's films. Curiously, I thought that Frears actually limited Desplat's skills on his previous scores, so Florence Foster Jenkins was completely different.

I have to admit I deleted the non Desplat tracks but this is a very nice score. Desplat showing his versatility yet again.
