Roger says

One is a 2-CD featuring a completely restored and expanded version of an RCA release from the 60s. Fits in line with a couple of other titles we've done recently.

The second is a thriller from the mid 00s. 50 minutes of music recorded for the film, only 15 used in the film and 8 on the song album. Now you get the whole thing.

Perhaps another Otto Preminger-directed film with its soundtrack previously on an RCA LP?
Advise & Consent or The Cardinal?

Two CD's, I'm thinking maybe Exodus (Gold). The RCA I'd love is The Professionals (Jarre), but it won't be that.

Yep, and Michael Mann's film was released in 2004, so it seems to fit. Except you count 2004 as "early 00s" of course.

I think there were more than 15 minutes of Howard's score in Collateral(the final confrontation lasted roughly 15 min and was scored entirely by Howard)
And there were only four of his tracks on the original soundtrack.

My first thought as well. Hope this is what we're getting!

Nooooo -- Michael Mann hired a composer, let them try to do a score, then didn't end up using most if it?

I don't think it's Exodus. I seem to recall reading a comment from Twilight Time on Home Theater Forum which confirmed that the tapes no longer survive (in addition to the fact that the recent Blu-Ray has a MFX track rather than a regular isolated score).

I don't think THE CARDINAL has enough music for 2 CDs.

Perhaps a Mancini?

Looks like we have to wait another week to find out:

I was just informed that I was an idiot. When I asked what else was new, I was told that the next titles are actually May 3. The boys in the back need time to process all those sales orders during the week of the 26th so the next releases will be out May 3.

Which Mancini from RCA?
Experiment in Terror, perhaps.

I don't remember it being a very long score, but is there enough music in Two for the Road to justify two CDs?

Maybe NACHO LIBRE (Elfman, 2006)? I never got the song CD (so I don't know if the "8 minutes" part works), but I know that Elfman basically scored the whole movie, and very little of it was used.

Only 3 minutes on Nacho Libre, I believe. So I reckon it's Collateral. Nice if it's that.
