THE SISTERS BROTHERS---Joaquin Phoenix is talks to co-star with John C. Reilly in this movie based on the novel set in 1851 Oregon where brothers Eli and Charlie Sisters seek to kill the prospector that stole from their boss. GOOSEBUMPS 2---Jack Black will return for the Sony Pictures sequel. BORDERLANDS---Lionsgate movie underway based on the video game. Well, to be clear, I think Blomkamp posted that he had a clever to make his story work without undoing what was already the last 2 ALIEN movies, he never said that he was ignoring them despite the presence of Hicks and Newt. Of course, no one but him knows how this will be accomplished! He has since backtracked on that too (probably something he initially said to appease upset fans of continuity, like myself). The only way -- and I mean ONLY way -- this could work is if they introduce wormholes and alternative timelines. And somehow, I doubt that's what he's doing. This was a pretty clearcut case of ignoring 3 and 4 from the early stages, and the more we learn about this production (if it ever gets made), the more this is cemented. I've sorta come to terms with it, even though every continuity fiber in my body -- especially in relation to the ALIEN universe -- screams out loud. But of course, in space no one can hear you scream.
