Does anyone else share my love of this score.? I think Stevens' Decca LP "Jazz themes from the Wild One" uses different arrangements from those in the film.

Shorty Rogers also recorded four tracks for RCA, which are collected on his "Short Stops" compilation.

The film definitely has different arrangements. Listen to the main title starting at 1:15. The violin glissandos in the film score are not present on the LP.

I always liked this rendition of the theme, recorded by Elmer Bernstein on his "Backgrounds For Brando" album on Dot Records...

I wonder if the film tapes exist. Maybe some enterprising label could release the film tracks and the LP tracks (if the latter exist, for that matter).
