By day, the crooked politicians rob the citizenry at every turn, and at night, Don Diego, wearing a mask, defies their laws and avenges the innocents. Good news. I'll buy both blu-rays.

1946 Duel In the Sun
1948 Blood On the Moon
1950 The Gunfighter -- with Peck
1952 Bend of the River
1952 Ride the Man Down
1953 The Naked Spur
1954 The Far Country
1958 Buchanan Rides Alone
1959 The Hanging Tree
1959 Ride Lonesome
1960 Comanche Station
1960 Hell-Bent for Leather
1962 Ride the High Country
1969 Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here
1971 Lawman
1972 The Culpepper Cattle Company
1973 Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid
1978 Comes a Horseman
1979 Heartland
1980 Tom Horn
1982 The Ballad of Gregorio Cortez

1986 The Red-Headed Stranger
1987 The Quick and the Dead -- with Sam Elliot
1989 The Tracker -- with Kristofferson

My list doesn't include all the classic American westerns already given hi-def transfers and blu-ray releases in Europe which haven't been released at home yet.

Two westerns I'd love to have on blu-ray domestically, are Valdez Is Coming, and Fiend Who Walked The West.

The Mark Of Zorro has been on UK TV in HD quite a few times (Film Four) looking very nice, a great swashbuckler. It was on my planner, but I had to get rid of it for space (it'll be back on). A lot of the westerns on Richard's list have been on TV in HD, & I still have quite a few of them recorded, Ride The High Country, The Far Country, Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid (the trouble is it's 2005 Seydor cut which I'm not keen on) & quite a few others (Bend Of The River is on in HD tomorrow afternoon). And next week The Hateful Eight is released in the UK, then we have She Wore A Yellow Ribbon, & a bit later, One-Eyed Jacks. I hope The Life & Times Of Judge Roy Bean gets an HD release sometime. I have the German Blu of Valdez Is Coming, looks good & is multi-region, but it looks like it's deleted & has gone up in price a fair bit.

Definitely absolutely. And let's not forget Robert Aldrich's masterpiece ULZANA'S RAID (1972).

Kino Lorber seems to have made a licensing deal with Fox, so look soon for THE GUNFIGHTER, and hopefully other non-western Fox titles from the same era.

I'll be buying Twilight Time's, Garden Of Evil if the transfer gets a clean bill of health. It's the one fifties Fox western that I've never ever seen, not even on the telly. I must get around to buying The Last Wagon from Germany, it sounds like the Blu-ray looks very good.

I like THE LAST WAGON better than GARDEN OF EVIL. Fox released both on DVD here a decade ago in excellent CinemaScope transfers so they should look great on Blu-ray. I'll bet TT has LAST WAGON, so I'm waiting to see what gets released here.
