So after a long battle with myself over whether to spend the extra money on Logan's Run, Star Trek: Final Frontier, First Contact, First Knight....I bought this. My gut told me I have too much Goldsmith and too little Broughton. I would've gone with Tombstone, but me being a pet lover drew me over to this nonsense. xS

I have and thoroughly enjoy the original release but have been on the fence about upgrading to this but I'm very tempted to get it in the current 30% off sale at Intrada. Any opinions on how much this expansion adds to score?

I've never heard the original album, but this is my absolute favorite Broughton score! It's not necessarily that every single millisecond makes the expansion worth it, but I can't think of a single track that drags. And there's a lot of variety to it. There's the main theme from the first one that holds it all together, the love theme for Chance and his b*tch ( pun intended), the theme for the dog catchers, the harmonica and guitar for I think was the theme for the bully stray dogs, etc. A lot of truly lovely soothing cues, alongside riveting action music! The different tones are all balanced quite nicely. The first score's great too, but this one benefits from its aforementioned variety. By far my favorite Bruce Broughton listening experience. I highly recommend it!
