I watched AJIN recently on Netflix. Season 1 was localized by Netflix and they did a fantastic job. I was also quite surprised by the music and then I realized it was Yugo Kanno composing, which means we got a lovely combination of orchestra and synths. For a taste of just how this sounds, check out the video below. I can't wait for Season 2 to come out already!
A lot of Yugo Kanno's scores need some serious editing down to get to the highlights. More recently the music to Psycho-Pass has some great gothic choral work and some solid orchestral themes. Gunshi Kanbee is a recent Japanese live action drama that he scored, nice grand epic orchestral score. Bird the Mighty also has some great music in there.
