Totally agree. The music in that opening sequence blew me away. Not only was it interesting musically but it really drove the scene forward and gave it such delicious tension.
My favourite piece of music in the entire series so far. As far as I can tell, it's not on the S6 album, sadly, although there's plenty of other great score music on it.
The music from the opening is track 3, Ligh of the Seven. I'm

Does anyone know if there is a legitimate lossless (flac) version of this for sale anywhere? I just cannot bring myself to pay good money for lossy mp3 downloads.

In case this hasn't been mentioned before, and for those of us who prefer physical media, and are not too fussed about flac files, and are wondering what to do about the Game Of Thrones Series 6 soundtrack, I pre-ordered the CD from Amazon (UK), and as part of their autorip service I got the entire mp3 album, including all the bonus tracks, for free.
I'm holding the CD now (US release) and the bonus tracks are listed on the back as "Bonus Digital Download Tracks." Then there's a card inside with the code where I can get them from the WaterTower website. I haven't done it yet so I can't yet confirm file type. But it seems odd to me that they would do it this way unless it's only a perk if you buy the first run of copies. Otherwise, why bother separating them?
You guys weren't kidding. This is by far the most accessible of the 6 discs so far. Usually there's only 1 or 3 cues each season that grab my attention but this one kept me entertained the whole way through. Let's hope Djawadi has begun the end of this show as he means to go on.
